Christmas Opening Times
Our hard working team do an amazing job throughout the year. However, when Christmas arrives we are at the mercy of the manufacturers, suppliers, and the weather.
All of the tow bar manufacturers and suppliers close down over the Christmas week, which in turn means we can order no stock during this time.
Our offices will close on Friday the 22nd of December and re-open on Tuesday the 2nd of January.
We will continue to provide online tow bar fitting quotes and will make fitting appointment bookings and offer technical advice over this period.
Winter Towbar Fittings
The weather outside is frightful, but our tow bar fitters carry on throughout the Winter period.
Having said that there are circumstances when tow bar fitting becomes an impossibility, or shall we say, not advisable.
During the winter period, we keep a close eye on the predicted weather in order to predict how it might affect our tow bar fitting service.
Wet and windy weather is a major concern when tow bar fitting. We do have the use of canopies to help keep dry, but if there is a wind blowing then using a canopy is not the best idea. Apart from the chance of the canopy being caught in the wind, the rain just blows through the sides of the canopy making it not much better than useless at best.
Snow has its own issues. We have to make sure our fitters can safely get to the fitting appointments and back, plus we have to ensure their safety whilst completing the tow bar fitting. If bad snow conditions are forecast then unfortunately we may need to rearrange the fitting appointment for a more subtribe date.
Ice is not nice… Apart from being uncomfortable working conditions, if the temperature is sub-zero the affect that this has of tow bar fitting can make it an impossibility. Electrical wires lose their flexibility in cold conditions. The vehicle electrical connectors might be frozen together! In addition, body panels lose their flexibility in the cold, meaning there is more likely to become damaged.
It is rare that we have to change an agreed fitting appointment, but in the winter, the possibility does go up.
We always work with the customer to ensure that, should we need to re-arrange the appointment the best time and place for the customer is arranged..
