Towbar Fitting Terms and Conditions.

Data Protection (GDPR)

We will only use your information for processing a quotation and for use when ordering and processing an agreement if you should decide to accept the quotation. Your data is protected and only used by Ultimate Towbars to process information that is relative to your quote or order. Ultimate Towbars are registered and regulated by the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/

Agreement and Contract
When agreeing to a tow bar fitting appointment you (the customer) form an agreement with the seller (Ultimate Towbar Systems Limited) to form a contract for the supply and fitting of a tow bar and electrics, plus any other accessories agreed at the time of accepting the tow bar fitting quote.

We (Ultimate Towbar Systems Limited) agree to supply and fit the tow bar and accessories at a mutually agreed appointment time and place.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their vehicle is suitable for towing and that the vehicle has a towing capacity. (If they intend to tow a trailer or caravan.)

The vehicle fitted with a tow bar MUST be in an accessible location that is off the road (highway) and the boot must be empty.

If child seats need to be moved during fitting the customer will need to refit the seats.

Ultimate Towbar Systems Limited accept no responsibility for any monetary loss due to issues outside of its control. This includes any loss due to missed appointments or technical or product supply issues.

Payment

To secure an appointment we require a £50 deposit to be paid.

Final payment can be made before or at the end of the fitting appointment.

Payment before the appointment can be made by card or BACS (Please let us know if you would like to pay by this method.)

Payment at the end of the appointment can be made by cash or card. Our card machine accepts all major debit and credit cards, with the exception of American Express. We can also accept payments via Apple iPhone and iWatch.

Cancelling a towbar fitting appointment / Failed towbar fitting appointment.

We understand that sometimes appointments can’t be kept. So, if you’re unable to keep your towbar fitting appointment then all we ask is that you tell us at least two working days before the appointment date. We then have time to reorganise the appointment for you or to cancel your order.

If a towbar fitting appointment is cancelled after your parts have been ordered then you will be required to pay the return and restocking costs, less the deposit, this is currently TOW BARS £32 + VAT (38.40) Wiring kits £19.50 + VAT (£23.40) Total £61.80 inc VAT.

If the vehicle is not available at the time of your towbar fitting appointment, or we are unable to carry out the fitting due to circumstances within your control, or there are modifications to the vehicle that prevent the towbar or electrics being fitted then a £125 +VAT fee, less the deposit, will be charged to cover refunds, appointment loss, fuel, and time.

None of these terms and conditions alters any statutory rights that you have under the Supply and Sale of goods act.
